i’m a human, not a robot

One of my favourite things to do is to take small, conscious breaks during the day.

After long times of working, problem solving and thinking
to get up and remember

that I have a body that craves movement
& lungs that are excited for some conscious deep breaths.

To stop in the middle of an intense moment & smile.
Reminding my body that it can relax,
even though my mind tells me ‘It’S aN eMergenCY’

to shut off the phone for a while, when I feel overwhelmed with constant information input.

Setting physical & mental boundaries when needed.

Constantly releasing pressure, before it builds up.

Grounding myself to the present moment
and remember
that I’m not a work machine
hustling through life from one appointment to the next.
Making a living just to survive.
Ticking off todos, so I can feel better.

But that I’m a child of the universe,
of Mother Gaia.
I am already enough.

I’m here to experience all the facets of human life.
I’m here to remember my divine nature.
I’m here to create my life.

And that means not participating
in an ego-built construct
which puts achievements over well-being.

Living in a world of never enough
wars, emergencies & distractions around every corner

No one tells us to stop.

And smile.
Laugh.
Enjoy.
Be happy.
Move.
Dance.
Sing.
Breathe.

Those small, simple moments during the day.

Take as many as you want.

They are for free.

You have the permission 🙂
