Taiwan Diaries – Day 8 – East Coast Shuttle Bus Tour

Sanxiantai in Taiwan

Morning Pages

I can’t even keep up anymore with editing, uploading pictures and in addition writing a text.
I’m adjusting myself to the idea that this blog is a growing garden, not a finished product.
I can plant, weed and prune in my rhythm. I can come back several times a day or once a week.

There is no need for perfection and I want to do this because I genuinely enjoy documenting and sharing my experiences so much.
I want to create as a way of meditation and offering. Something that I look forward to everyday as a way to rewind and process.
Not as a burden that I add to my full travel schedule.

The East Coast Shuttle Bus Tour was an interesting tour along different viewpoints with a lovely guide who entertained us and shared her knowledge about the places throughout the bus tour. I helped with translations since there were 4 Germans on the bus and the guide talked in Chinese only.
I felt incredibly alive in being the language bridge and loved connecting to everyone. There are certain environments where I lit up and naturally start to shine and communication, travel, and people is one of them. Had cool conversations with Nadine & Silke (2 German teachers from Hamburg) about the culture differences and with Ray (Chinese girl who works in France).

It was another humid day and due to the sunburn yesterday I chose to wear a light, long sleeve from my mum today. The little hike at the end at Sanxiantai was my personal highlight. I loved crossing the 8 arch bridge, taking in the sceneries and jumping from rock to rock. Reminds me of those gorgeous hikes in Madeira. Good times. Looking forward to more mountain hikes later in the month when I arrive at the west coast.
